Curriculum and Instruction

Newtown Public Schools Curriculum and Instruction department is responsible for ensuring that our students receive a quality education that meets or exceeds state standards. Our department designs and organizes the curriculum, deciding what students will learn in each subject and grade level. It also supports teachers by providing training, resources, and guidance on effective teaching methods. The goal of the department is to ensure that all students are taught in a way that helps them succeed academically and grow in their knowledge and skills throughout their school years.
