Dr. Paddyfote is an established educational leader, having served for 13 years as the Superintendent of Schools in New Milford.  Prior to serving as Superintendent, she was the Director of Pupil Personnel and Special Services for New Milford Public Schools for over 20 years.  She began her career in education in the East Haven Public Schools as a fifth grade teacher, Special Education teacher, and a district-wide Special Education Department Chair.

Since retiring in 2016, Dr. Paddyfote has served as Interim Superintendent in numerous districts, including Ridgefield, Madison, Avon, and Region 17 (Haddam/Killingworth).  

Dr. Paddyfote earned a Bachelor of Arts in Child Study and Special Education and a Master of Arts in Special Education from the University of St. Joseph, a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Educational Supervision and Evaluation from Fairfield University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership from the University of Connecticut.

As Dr. Paddyfote begins her time with us, the Board of Education is continuing its efforts to hire a permanent Superintendent.
