Recent Changes in the Connecticut General Statutes will raise the age that children can start public school Kindergarten from age 5 on or before January 1 of the school year to age 5 on or before September 1 of the school year.  This change in law will go into effect on July 1, 2024. Therefore, children entering Kindergarten in the fall of 2024 will need to be 5 on or before September 1, 2024.

We understand that changes in educational policies can raise questions, and we want to address any concerns you may have. Please use the link below to a Frequently Asked Questions Guide.

Frontier & eero Router

Chromebooks not connecting at home

If your child is experiencing web pages not loading on their district issued Chromebook and feel comfortable making these changes, Frontier recommends making the change in the instruction- below.  Otherwise, please call Frontier Technical Support at 1-800-921-8106 and explain that there is a security setting on your eero router that is preventing some web pages from loading on your child's school issued device. They can make the necessary changes on their end.

These settings only apply if you have
Frontier for your ISP and have an eero router.
  1. Open the eero app on your phone

  2. On the bottom of the screen go to Discover

  3. Tap eero Secure

  4. On the next screen toggle off Advanced Security

  5. After changing these settings, restart your Chromebook. User power button to turn off and then back on. These changes will not take effect until the device is restarted.
